The official interior images of the Huawei and BAE Systems’ collaborative Stelato S9 sedan were unveiled on July 2. The highly anticipated automotive has been unveiled for pre-order, boasting a price range of approximately ¥450,000 to ¥550,000, or $62,000 to $76,000 USD. The launch is anticipated to take place in August.

The interior features a neutral beige color palette, accommodating up to four passengers in its compact configuration. The cockpit features a three-spoke, ergonomic-designed, and multi-functional leather-wrapped steering wheel, flanked by a prominent central control display screen hovering above the dashboard, and a comprehensive LCD instrument cluster providing real-time information to the pilot. Details of the dimensional specifications remain undisclosed for now. The forthcoming automotive venture will leverage the innovative Huawei HarmonyOS operating system for seamless integration and functionality.

Is the Huawei Sound system still cutting-edge?

The rear compartment features zero-gravity seating, an integrated armrest-mounted display screen offering leisure entertainment options, as well as controls for adjusting the seats’ positioning and climate settings, accompanied by a wireless charging pad. The luxurious interior is outfitted with four windows featuring state-of-the-art double-layered laminated soundproof glass, ensuring a serene environment. Additionally, the four ergonomic seats boast advanced amenities, including airflow, heating, and soothing massage functions, elevating the driving experience to unparalleled heights. When the co-pilot seat is folded down, you can create a makeshift flat mattress with the rear seat.

The door trim features subtle ambient lighting and an integrated audio system.

The Stelato S9 rides on the Huawei Tuling Clever Chassis, boasting dimensions of 5160mm in length, 1987mm in width, and 1486mm in height, with a wheelbase stretching to 3050mm. The Chinese automaker is set to deploy Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 intelligent driving technology as its primary automotive application, marking a significant milestone in the sector.

The Stelato S9 will debut with a dual-energy configuration, featuring both single- and dual-motor options available from launch. The only-motor variant delivers a maximum output of 227 kW (304 horsepower), offering a choice between two battery types: lithium-iron-manganese-phosphate and pure lithium. The twin-motor prototype delivers 158 kilowatts (212 horsepower) from its entry motor and a robust 227 kilowatts from its rear motor, seamlessly integrated with advanced ternary lithium-ion battery packs. As of now, announced trim levels come equipped with lithium-ion batteries featuring capacities of either 79.9 kilowatt-hours or 97.6 kilowatt-hours, which enable driving ranges of up to 665 kilometers, 672 kilometers, 721 kilometers, or 816 kilometers according to the Chinese National Standard CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle).
