BMW USA has revealed early details about its forthcoming 2025 model year i4 electric vehicle, ahead of the car’s official debut this summer. Enhancements include a reimagined front grille, fresh exterior hues, and a revamped interior boasting modern sports-inspired materials.

The BMW i4 made its debut as a 2022 model-year sedan, and on several occasions, we’ve had the pleasure of putting it through its paces, with predominantly positive outcomes. The i3, a BMW electric vehicle that’s neither the most dazzling nor potent in its lineup, has seen a reduction in specifications to render it one of the company’s most affordable models.

While BMW’s i4 model is indeed a more affordable electric vehicle leasing option, with its predecessor available before the upcoming 2025 iteration, it remains the German automaker’s entry-level electric lease offering. In the final summer season, BMW launched a new iteration of their 2024 i4 model, dubbed xDrive40, which fills the gap between the dual-motor i4 M50 and the single-motor i4 eDrive40.

BMW USA has started previewing its 2025 i4 lineup, featuring a revamped M50 xDrive model.

BMW reveals details of its upcoming 2025 i4, minus the crucial piece of information: a price tag.

According to BMW USA, the 2025 model-year variants of the i4 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) have received aesthetic updates both inside and out. The German automaker claims that its latest sedan boasts a revamped aesthetic, with sleekly redesigned slim headlights and a revised vertical kidney grille. The parking area features adaptive single LED modules that seamlessly transition into a warm “Welcome Light” animation upon proximity detection within a 10-foot radius, signaling the driver’s arrival.

The latest iteration boasts a sleek matte chrome finish, while the upper portion is now fully encapsulated to emphasize its stunning high-gloss black trim. The M Sport package for the 2025 BMW i4 is upgraded with a sleek new feature: a low-profile diffuser on the rear bumper, rendered in high-gloss black to harmonize with the air intake accents on the front fascia. These components had previously been finished in a Cerium Gray hue in earlier i4 models.

The all-new lineup now boasts a range of fresh exterior hues, featuring the bold options of Cape York Green metallic and Vegas Red metallic, both available as customizable choices for the modern vehicle. By 2025, prospective buyers of the BMW i4 could potentially enjoy a range of new alloy wheel options, including 19-inch M Aero bi-color wheels available as part of the M Sport package.

BMW has announced that its 2025 i4 model will focus on delivering a sharper sporting profile and enhanced digitalization. The new QuickSelect function in iDrive streamlines the cockpit by reducing physical buttons, allowing drivers to access features such as climate control and heated seats and steering wheels through intuitive touchscreen controls on the central display. As outlined in the patient’s discharge summary, additional details were provided.

The all-new BMW i4 and the latest BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe come standard-equipped with sport seats wrapped in luxurious, breathable Sensatec material. The Vernasca leather-based trim features ornamental quilting and is available in five colors, including the newest bi-color option, Black with Pink Spotlight.

The all-new 2025 BMW i4s and the revamped BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe now boast a sleek, two-spoke steering wheel featuring a distinctive polygonal design and precision-crafted multifunction buttons that glow with an ambient light? With the inclusion of the M Sport Bundle, the M leather-wrapped steering wheel assumes a distinctive three-spoke design, boasting a flat bottomed rim and a striking black central stripe at the 12 o’clock position. The three-spoke M leather-wrapped steering wheel, standard on the i4 M50 xDrive and M440i models, features M tricolor stitching and a bold red stripe across its top dead center.

BMW’s latest electric vehicles are set to debut with the innovative BMW Operating System 8.5, enabling seamless access to cloud-based BMW Maps navigation and a more comprehensive integration with the My BMW app. Two key components lacking from BMW’s press launch are details on the upgraded efficiency of the 2025 i4, as well as information on what its various variants will be priced at upon their release?
