A partly revealed patent picture gives a glimpse into the Zeekr EX1E electric SUV from Geely. The rear design showcases the distinctive split tailgate, offering a glimpse into the seventh-generation model’s exterior. While the Zeekr EX1E’s design appears to draw inspiration from the Rolls-Royce Cullinan’s sleek and modern aesthetic.

Zeekr IPO in New York

Zeekr is a premium electric vehicle (EV) model under the Geely Group umbrella, introduced to the market in 2021. Our current lineup comprises four distinct models: the 001 Liftback, 009 Minivan, X Crossover, and 007 Sedan. Zeekr successfully secured $441 million in funding through its initial public offering (IPO) in New York earlier this year. By 2024, Geely is poised to introduce a dual-pronged assault on the market with the simultaneous launch of its Combine MPV and Ark SUV models. In 2024, no less than three additional fashion trends are expected to make their debut in the global market. Considered among others is the EX1E SUV. The design’s early stages were partially exposed through patent illustrations.

Prior to this announcement, there were no publicly disclosed details surrounding the forthcoming Zeekr EX1E crossover. Notwithstanding, CarNewsChina correctly predicted the codename of this vehicle alludes to its dimensional classification. The EX1e is reportedly the Zeekr’s highly anticipated full-size flagship SUV, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s expansion into the luxury vehicle market.

On June 28, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) unveiled patent data from Zhejiang Zeekr Technology Co., Ltd. The patent protects the innovative tailgate design for Zeekr’s forthcoming automotive model. The rear design of this vehicle is unveiled, showcasing its reputation as a flagship SUV within the esteemed model. Chinese sources have released patent images of the upcoming EX1E crossover.

The Zeekr EX1E’s sleek design features a flat roofline, expansive sunroof, angular D-pillars, and subtle plastic detailing around the wheel arches. The SUV boasts a sleek roof spoiler, discreetly tucked away in its design. A charging port is cleverly integrated into the left fender, adding a touch of practicality to this already impressive vehicle. The trapeze-shaped taillight clusters pay homage to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan’s distinctive styling cues, imbuing the SUV with a sense of luxury and refinement. What’s behind the lingering presence of the EX1E’s tailgate near the RR automotive? The breakup is designed with sleek lines and modern flair. The decrease section may be folded downwards, while the higher portion unfolds upwards. Pursuant to the patent submission, each element is powered by energy.

The Zeekr EX1E’s unconventional styling diverges from the brand’s current design paradigm, dubbed Hidden Power. To differentiate the EX1E, Zeekr must bestow upon it a bold, distinctive design that sets it apart from its competitors. The EX1E crossover is likely to leverage the Sea of Exchange (SEA) architecture. China will enter the market next year to rival vehicles from legacy manufacturers.
