Suzuki takes a significant step forward with the up-specced 2024 GSX-R1000R, priced at $18,499. This upgraded model leverages the foundation established by its predecessor, catering to discerning riders seeking a premium experience with exclusive features tailored to their high-performance needs. The 2021 Suzuki GSX-R1000R MC Commute brings a plethora of updates to this iconic sportbike. At its core, it still packs a potent punch with its 999cc inline-four engine producing 202 horsepower and 82 lb-ft of torque. article and video.

The 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000R underwent a redesign, as detailed in our first ride review. Compared to a standard GSX-R1000, this variant stands out through its high-performance Showa fork and shock absorber, offering comprehensive damping adjustability. We now boast a generous 5 inches of travel in both our entrance and rear suspension systems. These cutting-edge LED perception operating lights, sophisticated launch management systems, and high-strength stainless-steel brake lines ensure top-notch performance.

The motorbike is equipped with Suzuki’s renowned 999cc inline-four powerplant, boasting a reliable combination of water cooling, twin overhead camshafts, and a 16-valve cylinder head for optimal performance. With a robust output of approximately 170 horsepower, the engine performs impressively when paired with the Bridgestone Battlax RS-11 rear tire, showcasing its capabilities at high speeds. The engine’s fuel tank has a capacity of 4.2 gallons, and with its full load of fuel, it tips the scales at a total weight of 445 kilograms.

The latest electronics suite offers ten ways to customize traction control, allowing riders to fine-tune their grip on the road. Additionally, the powertrain can be adapted through a combination of engine and throttle energy mode adjustments. Other features include anti-lock braking, launch management for smoother starts, and a high-tech digital quickshifter that streamlines gear shifts up and down. The vehicle boasts an advanced braking system, featuring a triple-disc configuration that teams up with Brembo’s renowned radial-mount calipers to provide exceptional stopping power. Additionally, a single-piston, single-disc brake setup is positioned at the rear for added control and safety.
